The holidays are closing in. Yikes!  Although definitely much different than the holidays we're used to,  the shift toward more conscious purchases is very exciting.  There is no better time to support independent makers & small businesses.

Show your beloved people that you’ve really put some thought into a gift just for them. 

Today I'm sharing some of my favourite gift ideas. Some I've purchased personally and some I've been eyeing for a while. A carefully curated list of products from Canadian makers, which might help you get to know some independent shops.

We should be buying less, buying better, and supporting our small businesses.

Not exactly sure what to buy? Gift Cards are such a great way to support small businesses while also providing the receiver with full control over when and what to get.  You can then find creative ways to present them!

This is just a very short list. There are so many wonderful ideas that don't require buying physical products. Get crafty with craft kits or by simply googling how to's and hunting around for supplies. Donations also make amazing gifts, especially when you know what the receiver is passionate about!
