Freelance Customer Acquisition & Brand Marketing Specialist
Contract Position | 15-20 Hours Per Month | Remote (Canada Preferred)
Hernest Project is a small but growing sustainable loungewear brand with a focus on timeless, comfortable, and responsibly made clothing. We’re looking for a Customer Acquisition & Brand Marketing Specialist to help us attract new customers, strengthen our community, and execute strategic marketing initiatives.
This role is for someone with strong execution skills who can not only develop strategy with us but also bring it to life. You should be fluent in social media marketing, content creation (including video), and PR, and have a solid understanding of sustainable fashion within the Canadian market.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop & Execute Customer Acquisition Strategies – Work with Hernest to build weekly and monthly marketing strategies and drive execution.
- Social Media Content & Video Creation – Create and manage engaging social media content (Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.), including reels, stories, and other video assets that align with our brand voice.
- PR & Brand Awareness – Identify relevant PR opportunities, pitch to media, and build relationships with influencers who align with our brand values.
- Community Growth & Engagement – Engage with our audience, spark conversations, and increase brand loyalty through organic content and campaigns.
- Content & Blog Writing (Optional) – Assist in developing blog posts and email content that align with our brand storytelling and customer acquisition efforts.
- Performance & Insights – Track and analyze social media performance and marketing efforts, adjusting strategy as needed for growth.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, social media strategy, PR, and customer acquisition.
- Strong execution skills—you don’t just strategize, you make things happen.
- Experience creating high-quality social media videos (Reels, TikTok, etc.).
- A deep understanding of sustainable fashion and the Canadian market.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating closely with our founder.
- Bonus: Experience with paid social, influencer marketing, or email marketing.
Contract Details:
- Hours: 15-20 hours per month.
- Compensation: Open to proposals—please include your rates and approach when applying.
- Remote: This is a remote contract position, but preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of the Canadian market.
