Hernest Project is committed to leading the way in sustainable fashion. We believe that innovation, style, and sustainability can go hand-in-hand.

In our pursuit of sustainability, we are excited to announce our new partnerships with The Invisible Company and Eco Enclose to offer our customers innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”

– Margaret Mead

Why We're Making a Change?

In the last 6 months, 7 empty packages arrived at our customers' doorstep, our returnable packaging supplier went out of business, and we had to compost nearly 200 mailers before using them because their shelf life had expired. These challenges made us realize that our previous packaging solutions, while aligned with our brand values, were not sustainable in practice for our operation.

Garment protection throughout the supply chain is essential to reducing the fashion industry's environmental impact. It goes beyond protecting garments from dust; it's about ensuring their integrity and minimizing the risk of damage in transit, warehousing, and retail. Damaged garments have a significantly larger environmental impact than the packaging used, regardless of its material. This is because damaged or lost garments require additional resources and transportation emissions to re-produce and re-transport.

Therefore, it is critical to ensure that garments arrive in sellable condition at every stage of the supply chain. This is essential for creating a more sustainable and responsible fashion industry.

Introducing Garment Protector Bags from The Invisible Company

Our new garment protection bags are made from water-soluble and biodegradable materials, representing a significant advancement in sustainable garment protection. This state-of-the-art technology allows customers to dispose of the garment bags in a variety of environmentally friendly ways, including dissolving them in hot water, adding them to compost, or recycling them. This flexibility gives customers the power to choose the most sustainable option for their needs.

In addition to their environmental benefits, the Invisible Garment Bags are also more durable than our previous garment protectors, which means we can reuse them in the return process. This further reduces waste and promotes sustainable fashion practices.

Hernest Project: Introducing Eco Enclose Kraft Mailers for Sustainable Shipping

We are also pleased to announce our partnership with Eco Enclose to offer Kraft Mailers for our shipping needs.

These mailers are made from recycled and recyclable materials, and they are designed to protect your orders on their journey to your doorstep. They are rigid and robust, and offer better protection from puncture, weather and longer trips throughout Canada and USA.

Kraft Mailers are also reusable and recyclable, so customers can extend their lifespan and help to reduce packaging waste.

These new packaging solutions are just one way that the Hernest Project is demonstrating its unwavering commitment to environmental responsibility.

We believe that innovation, style, and sustainability can go hand-in-hand, and we are proud to lead the way in the fashion industry.
