ok, so these are truly my favourite sleep and lounge shorts. They are so comfortable, not tight and very flattering! The elastic waist band is very soft and forgiving. I would say ordering your regular size is the way to go. You won't regret it!

CanadaPerfect soft, breathable bike shorts
Love these shorts. High-quality fabric that is sturdy but breathable - love the fact that they aren't "plasticky" or compressive. Great fit and perfect length. I was between sizes and I sized down to get a true "bike short" look as opposed to a comfy lounge look. I'm 5'6, 110 lbs, XS fit well.
